Job summary

The Exploration Company is seeking an experienced Propulsion Ground Support Equipment Team Leader to lead the development, commissioning and operation of our cryogenic engine test benches for liquid propulsion systems.

You will manage a cross-functional team, translate test requirements into hardware specifications, and ensure safety and compliance across high-pressure facilities as we advance Nyx and future space technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Proven track record in complex fluid systems engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in rocket propulsion testing or related high-pressure environments.
• Experience leading engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering development of new GSE test facility and high-pressure systems.
• Translate test matrix requirements into hardware specs and P&IDs.
• Manage cross-functional engineering teams and project schedules.
• Oversee fabrication, assembly, and testing of GSE lines and structures.
• Lead high-pressure proof testing, leak checks, and commissioning.
• Establish protocols for hazardous fluids handling and safety.
• Ensure oxygen compatibility, passivation, and cleanliness standards.
• Integrate sensors and DAQ/DCS for automated test sequences.
• Create safety analyses, SOPs, and maintain configuration control.
• Travel to test sites and partner facilities as required.
