Job summary

The Exploration Company is building innovative aerospace technologies and operates Nyx, a modular space vehicle designed for future refueling in orbit and cargo transport. We seek an experienced Propulsion AIT Principal Engineer to lead two cryogenic propulsion system teams, drive safe and rigorous AIT execution, and deliver on performance and schedule objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, aerospace, propulsion or related discipline.
• 5+ years in spacecraft/launch/industrial gas/energy environments.
• Experience in Assembly, Integration and Test of propulsion or similar systems.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams.
• Experience with cryogenic systems and liquid propulsion.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the AIT activities of cryogenic propulsion systems.
• Define AIT approach, plans and technical execution strategy.
• Ensure alignment with system requirements, verification objectives and milestones.
• Review and approve AIT procedures, test specifications and reports; disposition non-conformances.
• Lead technical assessment and resolution of complex AIT problems; anomalies and issues.
• Oversee preparation, integration, functional testing and acceptance activities.
• Coordinate investigations; ensure root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulatory requirements.
