Job summary

Sorontar seeks a propulsion engineer to own propulsion at the system level, deciding whether to develop in-house or source from external suppliers. You will collaborate with prototyping, mechanical and aerodynamics teams to create reliable propulsion solutions and will help build the propulsion team as the company grows.

You should have solid propulsion experience, strong parametric design skills, and the ability to minimize risk while pursuing ambitious performance.

Qualifications

• Must have propulsion engineering experience within a relevant field.
• Strong ability in parametric design and risk-reduction choices for prototypes.
• Proficiency in French and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead propulsion at the system level and decide in-house vs external sourcing for each weapon.
• Develop propulsion solutions with prototyping, mechanical and aerodynamics teams; build the propulsion team as the company grows.
• Drive the design and testing choices to reduce risk while achieving ambitious goals.
