Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Prompt Writer (AI Training) to craft questions, scenarios, and challenges that push AI models to their limits, helping them think and respond more clearly and safely.

This is a fully remote, hourly contract role with 10–40 hours per week and flexible scheduling. No technical background is required—just strong writing skills and a love of language.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong writing skills and a knack for thinking outside the box. No technical or AI background required - just a sharp mind and a love of language.

What You'll Do

• Craft original, imaginative prompts across a wide range of topics, formats, and difficulty levels
• Design questions and scenarios that challenge AI reasoning, creativity, and problem-solving
• Create prompts that specifically probe for accuracy, logical consistency, and safety
• Follow structured style guides and prompt-writing templates to ensure quality and consistency
• Iterate and refine your prompts based on project feedback and evolving AI needs
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

• A creative thinker with strong, clear writing skills
• Comfortable writing across diverse topics — from science and ethics to storytelling and logic
• Naturally curious, with an appetite for exploring ideas from unexpected angles
• Detail-oriented and able to follow structured guidelines consistently
• Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
• No prior AI, tech, or prompt engineering experience required

Nice to Have

• Background in writing, editing, journalism, education, or communications
• Experience with creative writing, debate, philosophy, or critical thinking
• Familiarity with AI tools or chatbots as an end user
• Broad general knowledge across multiple subject areas
