Description du poste

Our client, a leading company in the optical submarine system industry, is seeking a Project HSE Manager dedicated to operations with the aim of ensuring HSE and Sustainable Development management of international projects.

The Project HSE Manager is responsible for implementing customer and project HSE requirements across engineering, design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation phases. He/she reports to the Projects and Operations HSE Team Leader.

Main activities
  1. Ensure compliance with HSE policies, standards, procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable laws throughout all project phases.
  2. Establish and implement HSE programs, plans, procedures, and documentation, updating them as necessary (e.g., HSE plans, interface documents, emergency plans, HIRA).
  3. Define the HSE project program, including instructions, training, meetings, and inspections.
  4. Organize and conduct internal and external HSE audits, inspections, and visits, ensuring follow-up on action plans.
  5. Participate in project meetings with internal teams and clients.
  6. Participate in risk analysis publications and updates, ensuring effective implementation of prevention measures.
  7. Develop and deliver HSE presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  8. Review incident investigations by subcontractors and ensure follow-up of action plans.
  9. Follow up on HSE incidents.
  10. Develop training modules and organize sessions, briefings, and presentations.
  11. Produce periodic HSE reports as required.
  12. Monitor and track HSE performance.
  13. Participate in HSE experience sharing sessions.
Requirements
  1. Master’s degree or equivalent in health, safety, and environmental management.
  2. NEBOSH IGC certification or equivalent.
  3. Minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar HSE role.
  4. Experience with Oil & Gas offshore/subsea projects.
  5. Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards.
  6. Proficiency with HSE tools (HAZID, HAZOP, 5Whys, etc.).
  7. Basic understanding of sustainability topics.
  8. Strong incident investigation and analysis skills.
  9. Willingness to travel within France and internationally.
