Role summary
Our client, a leading company in the optical submarine system is seeking a Project HSE Manager dedicated to operations with the aim to ensure HSE and Sustainable Development management of international projects.
The Project HSE Manager is responsible for implementing customer and project HSE requirements in the engineering, design, procurement, manufacturing, and installation phases. He/she reports to the Projects and Operations HSE Team Leader.
Main activities
Ensure compliance with HSE policies, standards and procedures, contractual HSE requirements and applicable HSE laws and regulations throughout the duration and all phases of assigned projects.
Establish and implement defined HSE program, plans and procedures and all HSE documentation required within the scope of the project, and update these documents when necessary (HSE plans, interface documents, emergency plan, HIRA etc.).
Define the HSE project program (instructions, training, meetings, inspections, etc.).
Organize, coordinate and/or conduct both internal and external HSE audits, inspections and visits with the support of the client teams and managers concerned and the relevant stakeholders, then ensure the follow-up of the related action plans.
Participate in various internal and external project meetings at the request of project teams and customers.
Participate in the publication and updating of project-specific risk analysis and ensure the effective implementation of associated HSE prevention measures.
Develop, prepare and deliver specific HSE presentations to customers and other client stakeholders.
Review and challenge incident investigations carried out by client subcontractors and ensure appropriate follow-up of associated action plans.
Ensure HSE incidents follow-up.
Develop training programs/modules and organize sessions, briefings, and presentations to various stakeholders.
Produce periodic HSE reports as required by customers.
Consolidate, monitor and track HSE performance.
Participate in project HSE experience capitalization sessions.
Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent, with a specialty in health, safety and environmental management.
NEBOSH IGC HSE certification or equivalent.
HSE auditor certification (e.g., IRCA). Inspection management skills.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in an equivalent HSE position.
Experience of Oil & Gas offshore/Subsea projects.
Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards.
Mastery of HSE tools (HAZID, HAZOP, 5 Whys…).
HSE risk management skills.
Basic knowledge of Sustainability topics.
Proficiency in incident investigation and analysis techniques.
Available to travel in France and abroad.
