Job Description
Position Summary
The Project Manager provides oversight across the product life cycle for strategic Projects to ensure on-time delivery and successful project execution. This role maintains project commitments, timelines, and customer relationships, with a focus on delivering an excellent customer experience through creative problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.
Main Activities
- Manage and communicate end-to-end project health, providing one source of clear, accurate communication.
- Lead strategic operational aspects of strategic projects with the customer and project management teams to ensure timely, coordinated, risk-mitigated delivery of projects and services.
- Coordinate site-wide resources to provide comprehensive solutions, based on the entire product and services portfolio across the site.
- Prepare material for internal and external project Joint Steering Committee and executive-level report outs.
- Lead and facilitate program issues, risk mitigation, and solution escalation process, serving as a liaison with Site Leadership to ensure effective solution/resolution.
- Maintain integrated project timelines and oversight across the product life cycle.
- Hold teams accountable to stage gate process and weekly/monthly/quarterly reviews.
- Support the organization through deployment of standard tools and practices.
- Support process improvement activities in accordance with site objectives.
- Promote a safe working environment, report potential hazards, and ensure all direct reports follow Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's in Science of Engineering
- 5-10 years of relevant project management or equivalent experience in a Pharmaceutical environment with a good understanding of Quality and Regulatory requirements
- Solid communication skills, both written and oral (French and English)
- Leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives, propose new ideas, and translate strategies and plans into successful operations
- Leadership and Influential skills to effectively lead cross-functional teams and manage resources who are not in direct reporting lines
- Strong understanding of the Contract Manufacturing Operations environment
- Able to comprehend and interpret technical and business documents and use these documents to make decisions that will enable success for the program
- Solid understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, tracking, and reporting for projects vs. the allocated budgets
- Change management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- General understanding of analytical and process engineering, drug manufacturing
- Good understanding of value creation and continuous improvement
- Solid knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Project, and other project management tools as required
