Job Opportunity: Project Manager in Cell & Gene Therapy

We are partnered with a groundbreaking early-stage biotech company specializing in in vivo CAR-T therapy, with proprietary IP and significant growth potential. Having collaborated closely with this business for nearly a year, we recognize it as a prime example where scientific innovation intersects with patent white space and clinical pathways.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with expertise in Life Sciences and Cell & Gene therapy to join a dynamic organization. You will work directly with the CSO and founding partners, driving excellence across functions from CRO management to preclinical development and fundraising strategies.

This remote-first role is open to candidates in France and potentially the UK, offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience. The ideal candidate will excel at managing and resolving mission-critical project constraints at both scientific and business levels, with the ability to work independently and remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive project success through strategic planning, risk mitigation, and coordination of internal teams and external partnerships to accelerate therapeutic innovation.
• Develop and optimize project roadmaps, budgets, and timelines, balancing scientific ambition with commercial viability to achieve impactful milestones.
• Navigate project challenges with agility, identifying solutions and adjusting course to keep therapeutics on track for patient delivery.
• Lead strategic CRO partnerships and manage vendor ecosystems to maximize value and accelerate development timelines.
• Foster high-impact team dynamics and decision-making, transforming meetings into productive collaboration sessions.
• Ensure transparent communication and strategic storytelling, providing updates and data-driven recommendations to leadership.
• Partner with Scientific Directors and Project Leads as a strategic advisor, promoting cross-functional alignment.

Your Skillset

• Hands-on experience in drug discovery within fast-paced industrial environments.
• Deep understanding of drug discovery processes from early research to preclinical validation.
• Experience in cell and gene therapy is highly valued.
• Knowledge of oncology and immunology is preferred.
• Proven track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
• Minimum MSc in biochemistry, immunology, virology, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools; PMP certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills that inspire and influence teams and stakeholders.
• Solutions-oriented mindset with entrepreneurial drive and scientific curiosity.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, multidisciplinary environments.
