Job Description - Project Manager (0096TX)

The Project Manager is responsible for achieving the project’s objectives. The Project Manager has a working knowledge of the technical and organizational environments in which the project deliverables are created and will be used.
S/he may also assist in the strategic planning for the department. The Project Manager must have strong communication skills, verbal and written at all levels within the project environment, be proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities, and can adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically dispersed project environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for compliance with Schneider Electric Quality Standards and Processes.
  2. Responsible for meeting the scope, schedule, resource, and budget commitments reflected in the Project Management Plan.
  3. Responsible for overall project (Gross Margin) profitability.
  4. Obtains, organizes, and maintains all project contract documents.
  5. Receive, organize, and review information from the salesperson or project development team.
  6. Prepares project billing revenue forecasts and schedule of values.
  7. Lead the project management team in developing and managing the Project Management Plan within the constraints established and approved by the Customer.
  8. Coordinates project in accordance with contract documents and approved sales estimate.
  9. Schedule and conduct all project meetings.
  10. Review and approve design, commissioning, and installation plans.
  11. Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources, and budget.
  12. Collaborate with functional managers and/or organizational management to obtain adequate resources with appropriate skills to staff the project team.
  13. Manages resources by planning, scheduling, and forecasting manpower and resource requirements.
  14. Interview, hire, train, mentor, evaluate, and when necessary, terminate project personnel or make related recommendations in accordance with company policies.
  15. Manage the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside of the project team’s scope of responsibility.
  16. Continually identify and proactively manage project risks & issues, ensuring execution of corrective action plans up to closure.
  17. Reviews and approves material and subcontract invoices for payment.
  18. Prepares and delivers final project closure and documentation to customers and ensures final payment.
  19. Monitor the project and report the project status to management on a regular basis.
  20. Prepare and update project plan, schedule, and cost re-estimates on a routine basis.
Qualifications

Skills:

  1. Understanding of and proficient in project management skills.
  2. Working knowledge of ISO requirements.
  3. Excellent time management and organization skills.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Professional Scheduling Programs.
  6. Financial acumen and understanding.
  7. Provide excellent customer service.

Leadership Skills:

  1. Team building, empower and delegate authority.
  2. Ability to build rapport and consensus across project team within a matrix environment.
  3. Understanding of contract procedures and knowledge of contract law, codes, standards, and industry construction knowledge.
