Kleen Test Products in Strasbourg, OH is seeking a Project Engineer to design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and product applications, solving complex production challenges and delivering equipment solutions.

You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, reduce scrap, support new product launches and line startups, analyze production data, coordinate vendor selections, and train teams while collaborating with maintenance and operations to boost efficiency and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or equipment engineering (wet wipes, packaging, or high-speed manufacturing preferred).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and improving equipment systems.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with CAD (AutoCAD preferred) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Provide technical support for customer interactions, trials, and problem resolution.
  • Partner with maintenance and production teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and facility upgrades.
  • Train production and maintenance teams on new equipment and processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
  • Step into leadership coverage (supervision support) as needed.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Project Engineer to join our team in Strasburg, OH.

The Project Engineer drives improvements in production processes, equipment, and efficiency while supporting new and existing manufacturing applications. This role partners closely with plant leadership, maintenance, production, and customers to deliver equipment solutions, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance.

What you will do:

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience

  • 2-4 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, engineering documentation, and data
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Solid project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on deliverables
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD preferred)
  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information
