Project Engineer - Paris - 12-Month Contract

Our client, a global (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation, is recruiting for a Project Engineer to join them on their new expansion project. Based in a charming French location, this is on a contractual basis and will involve significantly growing the site's capacity for the manufacture of Biologics.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  1. Engage with key stakeholders to ensure project objectives/goals/KPIs are clearly defined and agreed.
  2. Engage with internal stakeholders and the project team to provide a single point of contact for engineering, ensuring targets and requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
  3. Engage with the project team to verify they have received the correct training (onboarding plan) to ensure studies meet standards and expectations.
  4. Engage with local and client to ensure site experience and requirements are integrated into the design.
  5. Engage with Design Manager to assess the impact of changes.
  6. Engage with the Construction SHE Lead about safe to start and pre-start-up safety review topics.
  7. Support the Project Technical Manager in the selection of suitable SHE study contractors.
  8. Deliver the required safety studies and identify any required further scopes.
  9. Review safety studies carried out by other contractors or vendors (for example ATEX, relief calculations and machinery safety, with the exclusion of fire safety), acting as the “intelligent customer”.
  10. Share deliverables with the relevant client and project team members for comment and approval to ensure the studies are completed to a good level of quality and that their outcome is integrated into the design.
  11. Take part in relevant project developments and design reviews to assess and advise on potential impact.
  12. Update reviews following close out of actions.
