Project Design Engineer

Location: Paris, France

Salary: €45,000 – €55,000

TXM is recruiting for a leading automation and intralogistics company, seeking to hire a Project Design Engineer to work across France. The ideal candidate will have experience working with intralogistic automated machinery.

This individual will be responsible for the pre-sale duty, speaking with the customer regarding the design and implementation of the machinery, using AutoCAD to design the layout of the customer automated facility.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate and analyse all technical data and information about the client’s operations necessary to understand the project requirements.
2. Develop technical proposals and associated budgets by selecting appropriate equipment from the company’s products or from suppliers and subcontractors.
3. Build the technical proposal in collaboration with the sales and internal teams.
4. Prepare presentations in collaboration with the sales department and present the technical aspects to the client.
5. Support and ensure the transition of the project from the study phase to the detailed implementation phase.

Required Experience and Skills:

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint).
2. Qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
3. At minimum, proficient in one data analysis tool (Excel, Access, Power BI).
4. Proficiency in English, as the role requires frequent communication with the Austrian headquarters and clients.
5. Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software and design tools (such as VectorWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
6. Basic knowledge of simulation software (Automod, Enterprise Dynamics, etc.).
