Project Controls Manager - Hauts-de-France - 12-Month Contract
Our client, a global (bio)pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation, is recruiting for a Project Controls Manager to join them on their new expansion project. Based in a charming French location, this is a contractual role focused on significantly increasing the site's capacity for biologics manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall project budget and ensure compliance with processes.
- Follow industry best practices for cost controls.
- Utilise the existing Corporate Engineering template (Excel Spreadsheet) or create an alternate reporting tool to maintain a project forecast (commitments, actual cash flow, and forecast); interface with vendors and site personnel to understand invoicing schedules.
- Develop understanding of Standard Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS). Manage and monitor custom CBS structure within the Excel Spreadsheet.
- Use existing SAP reports as a tool to gather data for cost reporting (actuals and commitments).
- Provide monthly/quarterly reports for the management team, such as a monthly variance cash flow report.
- Update the project cash flow in the custom database - Capital Planning System (CAPS) for each individual CIR.
- Establish monthly project metrics and presentations for each internal customer.
- Maintain Change Management and Risk Tracking Tools within the Excel Spreadsheet or alternate reporting tool.
- Manage and track contract increase costs and reasons for change.
- Perform Monthly Risk Analysis and incorporate risks into the project forecast.
- Support tracking of internal labour charges in US & outside US (OUS) locations.
- Identify and manage a diversity spend report for Tier 1 vs. Tier 2 spend.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Controls professional on large construction programs.
- Experience setting and leading project controls teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills in project & program management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interface with resources within and outside project supplier organisations.
- Knowledge of industry best practices for project controls and scheduling.
- Good understanding of project management capital delivery processes, scheduling, contracts, procurement, forecasting, budgeting, change orders, and risk management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for cash flow management.
