Synergy Partners Consulting Limited is seeking a Project Associate, Mechanical Engineering, in a full‑time capacity to contribute from concept to detailed design, tendering, and construction support.

You will work on HVAC, plumbing, and drainage systems, interact with suppliers, and prepare construction-ready documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Co‑op/internship experience related to responsibilities is an asset.
  • P.Eng designation or working towards it is an asset.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit knowledge is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, and Drainage systems.

Responsabilités

  • Perform calculations for HVAC, Plumbing, and Drainage systems (flow, pressure drops, heat transfer).
  • Coordinate with suppliers for equipment selection, budgets, and schedules.
  • Transform concepts into construction-ready plans and documents.
  • Prepare layouts, riser diagrams, equipment schedules, specs, and contracts.
  • Present technical information clearly through reports and progress updates.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate mechanical systems.
  • Work with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors to meet codes and standards.
  • Conduct site visits and document notes, sketches, photos for the team.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Co‑op/internship experience
P.Eng designation or working towards it

PROJECT ASSOCIATE, MECHANICAL ENGINEERING – FULL‑TIME POSITION

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in mechanical projects from concept through to detailed design, tendering, and construction support.

This role offers the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience and contribute to the design of HVAC, plumbing, and drainage systems, while working alongside a collaborative and experienced team.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Responsibilities
  • Perform calculations related to HVAC, Plumbing, and Drainage systems, including fluid flow rates, pressure drops, and heat transfer.
  • Communicate with suppliers for equipment selection and coordination of specifications, budgets, and schedules.
  • Transform conceptual markups into ready‑for‑construction plans and documents.
  • Prepare engineering layouts, riser diagrams, equipment schedules, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Present and communicate technical information clearly, concisely, and effectively through evaluation and progress reports.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and internal teams to ensure proper integration of mechanical equipment and system requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients, sub‑consultants, and contractors, to ensure projects meet requirements, codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct site visits and accurately capture information, including notes, sketches, and photographs, to support the project team.
Knowledge And Skills To Succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Co‑op/internship experience related to key responsibilities an asset.
  • P.Eng designation or working towards it an asset.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Knowledge of Revit is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems related to HVAC, Plumbing, and Drainage.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Strong team player
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and contribute independently when needed.

Salary Range – $68,000 to $85,000 depending on experience.
