Job Title: Program Manager/Project Manager (Energy Project/ Energy Program)
Location: Providence, RI, 02908
Pay rate: $36.00/hr. on w2 without benefits
Duration: 24+ months
Shift Hours: Day 35.00 hr./week
Note: Hybrid Work Environment — 2 days remote, 3 days in office
Background in the energy sector or a governmental environment.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or comparable experience.
Responsibilities
- Documentation & Reporting: Collect key metrics and data for active energy projects, including building decarbonization initiatives and energy benchmarking efforts, within the Lead By Example program and develop facility inventories for public buildings.
- Analyze and organize data for in quarterly/annual reports, websites, presentations, and other communications.
- Draft, update, and facilitate the execution of key program documents, including memorandums of understanding, contract amendments, and requests for proposals.
- Outreach & Program Development: Conduct outreach to key constituents to promote Lead by Example programs and build project pipeline.
- Develop outreach materials (memos, reports, web content, contact lists) for Lead by Example Program.
- Create and expand building inventory data and facility equipment conditions for use in program planning and project development.
- Coordinate with and lead meetings with stakeholder groups, including Lead by Example Coordinators group.
- Contribute to the writing of reports, visualization of program data, and public communications of the Program.
- Program Oversight: Oversee the collection and tabulation of solar PV production data from State facilities.
- Update and distribute weekly and monthly solar production reports.
- Coordinate and troubleshoot any issues with solar module operation, functionality, or connectivity with solar operations & maintenance vendor.
- Assemble and upload relevant data to support State participation in, and payment from, demand response programming.
- Support & Coordination: Schedule and organize occasional meetings with public stakeholders.
- Conduct outreach to solicit participation in Lead by Example programs and provide logistical and outreach support for the annual Lead by Example Awards event.
- Represent OER at public events (e.g. RI Home Show, Conventions, Expos) as needed.
- Make occasional site visits to troubleshoot problems, check on project progress, take photos, or collect data.
- Miscellaneous: Execute additional tasks to aid the OER team as required.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience leading meetings and engaging with and communicating to the public.
- Proven capability to juggle various tasks and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Exceptional organizational and communicative abilities.
- Advanced writing and editorial skills.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or comparable experience.
