Gastops’ products and services add value throughout the life cycle of complex critical equipment from the design stage through to in-service operations and support. We design, manufacture and support advanced equipment sensing and analysis products, including on-line oil debris sensors, torque measurement sensors, turbine blade health sensors, and at-line oil analysis systems.
Based in Ottawa, Ontario the Program Manager (Aerospace) will report to the Director of Programs, Aerospace Business Unit and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus around establishing and maintaining effective relationships with important Aerospace Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Customers, to facilitating the achievement of sales quotas, strategic program objectives, and the successful execution of program contractual commitments.
What You’ll Do:
The Program Manager will be part of our Aerospace Business Unit team with the primary focus of representing the entire range of Gastops products and services to our customers, ensuring our customer’s needs and expectations are met. You will:
Strategic Alignment
- Develop a thorough understanding of the organization’s long-term vision and how each strategic program contributes to this vision.
- Ensure each captured program is in alignment with the organization's overall strategic goals and objectives.
Program Planning and Execution
- Develop a program roadmap that includes a list of projects/project objectives, milestones, timelines, budgets, revenue, and resource requirements (labour, tools, etc).
- Ensure the effective execution of the program roadmap with coordination of strategic activities across multiple projects.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, project teams, internal and external customers, and subcontractors.
- Continuous investigation and intelligence gathering regarding customer’s and subcontractor’s staff and organization.
- Communicate program status, risks, and achievements to stakeholders regularly.
Resource Management
- Working with the Project Engineering Manager, support the allocation, optimization and management of resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to ensure the successful execution of program objectives.
- Support, and where appropriate, oversee relationships with subcontractors.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess risks that may impact the program's success, including technical, schedule, and budget risks.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize the impact of identified risks.
Interproject Coordination
- Coordinate and manage the interdependencies between various projects within the program to ensure cohesive progress toward overall program goals.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication among project teams.
Leadership
- Coach individuals in a Program Manager role on techniques and best practices.
- Educate employees across the company on the various programs, the role and purpose of the program management function, and the potential growth opportunities within these areas.
Process & Templates
- Participate in the design and development of processes, procedures, and templated documents (i.e. forms) to support program execution.
- Work with the Business Management System Owner (BMS) owner to ensure the Program Management processes are recognized in the Gastops BMS.
- Participate in the development dashboard to support the communication of program status.
Performance and Quality Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor program progress, performance metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Incorporate quality control reviews to ensure that program deliverables meet or exceed established standards.
- At a regular interval prepare and host program reviews on program status, issues, and achievements for leadership and stakeholders.
Change Management
- Lead the change request process as it relates to program scope, requirements, or objectives, while minimizing disruptions to ongoing projects and program.
- Adapt program roadmap to accommodate evolving needs and priorities.
Program Financial Management
- Prepare and report on program finances and seek cost-saving opportunities to ensure that the program meets financial targets (i.e. margins).
- Identify opportunities for new customer program funding opportunities.
- Provide financial reports and forecasts.
Customer Satisfaction
- Ensure that the final products or outcomes of the program meet customer needs and expectations.
- Address customer feedback and concerns to enhance overall satisfaction.
Contract Management
- Develop and negotiate new contracts or agreements that protects Gastops’ interests.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met which include contract/purchase order review, review of ongoing purchase orders/contracts for the appropriate Terms & Conditions, pricing and compliance.
Sustainability and Compliance
- Consider environmental sustainability in program decisions and activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and ethical practices.

Who You Are:
- Strong Project Management Skills with eligibility for PMI Certification or equivalent
- Analytical skills with the ability to take any data sets and present them in a way key stakeholder can understand and use them
- Superior Customer focus
- Thrive working individually or in a team environment
- Knowledge of Aerospace product manufacturing and product qualification would be an asset
- Ability to lead others who are not direct reports
What You Should Bring:
The ideal candidate will have an Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5+ years of demonstrated project and program management experience or related role. Additionally, you should have:
- High motivation with results-oriented focus
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Eligible to obtain a Security Clearance (NATO Level Clearance)
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
