Alstom is seeking a Production Transfer & Support Engineer in Digital & Integrated Systems to drive smooth production transfers and serial manufacturing across sites. You will collaborate with 1st-tier supply chains and cross-functional teams to implement improvements and support start-ups and deliveries.

The role emphasizes budgeting, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement, with travel to internal and external sites.

Qualifications

  • Degree in process engineering, electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering is required or highly preferred.
  • Experience with special processes such as electronics assembly or box builds is beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of railway signalling and/or infrastructure is expected.
  • Familiarity with engineering development and global team collaboration is desirable.
  • Functional testing methodology or design-for-manufacturing background is a plus.
  • Ability to build strong networks across the business is important.
  • Good communication skills and fluency in written/spoken English.
  • Structured, adaptable, and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Experience with Kaizen and value stream mapping is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to internal and external sites.

Responsabilités

  • Be the primary point of contact for technical topics with allocated suppliers and facilitate internal traffic related to production.
  • Provide first-line support for resolving day-to-day manufacturing issues.
  • Conduct value stream mapping, SWIP, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities.
  • Implement production improvements and identify opportunities for process efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain processes for supplier problem reporting.
  • Support sourcing and supplier quality during performance and quality crises.
  • Lead RFQ qualification processes with commodity management and operations teams.
  • Contribute to industrial standards requirements and standardization.
  • Execute risk mitigation activities and transfer of technology maturity reviews.

Formation

Degree in process engineering, electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering
Special processes understanding
Railway signalling and/or infrastructure knowledge
Engineering development and global team collaboration
Functional testing / design-for-manufacturing background
Networking across the business
Strong communication (English)
Structured and multi-tasking

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and forward-thinking teammates.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring production transfers and serial manufacturing activities run smoothly by working directly with 1st-tier supply chains and internal manufacturing sites. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Commodity Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Regional Stakeholders), develop and implement production improvements, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of transfer planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation, but also support production start-ups and ongoing deliveries.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Executing risk mitigation activities and facilitating transfer of technology maturity reviews.
