We are looking for a person who will differentiate our company from its competitors. You will be joining Worldline, a company in full transition to a new era of payments covering hardware, software, and services as tooling for merchants to grow their business.

Part of SREs automation and industrialization of the databases platform will fall under your responsibilities including any of them as MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, Galera, and others.

After an internal training period about our products and services, you will be a SQL Server DBA with the following responsibilities:

Who Are We Looking For

Minimum skills

1. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience
2. Infrastructure automation using Puppet, Foreman, Terraform
3. Experience on programming in at least in Powershell and/or Go
4. Ability to design the service level indicators of the database platforms to allow the SRE to be proactive when problems arise
5. Understanding Database performance and capacity planning indicators to trigger automatic scale or failover

Preferred skills

1. Experience in Database Performance Tuning and Database Security
2. Good knowledge of database clustering design on Windows and/or Linux
3. Ability to debug, optimize code, automate routine tasks, and develop and implement cloud concept interface and provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
4. Working experience in DevOps
5. Knowledge in continuous learning technical environment (CI/CD, Big Data, AI...)

Your Responsibilities

1. You take the availability, integrity, security & recoverability of the client infrastructure as a personal objective and assure it is compliant with our business requirements and SLA and execute solutions.
2. You carry out standard operational and maintenance tasks and perform failovers/disaster recovery with the team.
3. You monitor security and system events and take appropriate action in case of incidents, including taking part in the off-hours monitoring rotation of the environment.
4. You identify and troubleshoot performance issues and optimize where possible.
5. You develop automation of operational tasks where possible.
6. You contribute to projects related to both our local and global environments with a focus on increasing performance, availability, and scalability of our infrastructure.
7. You write documentation of internal DB processes, designs, and proposals.
8. Used to working in both operational and project contexts.

2. Operational matters and maintenance.

9. Knowledge and experience of DEVOPS best practices for Databases as a service.
10. Excellent communication skills.
11. Excellent knowledge of Linux servers.
12. Performance tuning on Linux & PostgreSQL servers.
13. Comfortable with multi-DC setup.
14. Comfortable with source version control like Git, GitLab, GIT flows, and CI/CD.
15. Comfortable with Scripting (Powershell/Puppet/CI/CD) Automation.
16. Used to work with Puppet (we do everything with Puppet).
17. Used to work with Terraform (we aim that all pieces of infra is defined with code).
18. Experience with hybrid infra (On-prem/cloud).
19. Incident management, troubleshooting, and resolution.
20. Understanding of network protocol (IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, Load balancing, clustering).
21. Good English.
