Description du poste
Overview

A family-owned company, bioMérieux has grown to become a world leader in the field of in vitro diagnostics. For more than 60 years and across the world, we have imagined and developed innovative diagnostics solutions to improve public health. Today, our teams are spread across 45 countries and serve 160 countries with the support of a large distribution network. Come and join a family-owned global company with a long-term vision, and a human-centered culture.

We are looking for a Digital Solution Product Owner for our Bruz site, reporting to the department manager and joining the multidisciplinary “Data & Genomics” team, composed of 16 members.

The team operates in a self-organized mode and includes Data Scientists, Bioinformaticians, Back-end and Front-end Developers, and DevOps Engineers.

You will take over from the previous Product Owner, who is now the team manager, to lead the product and guide strategic priorities. Your main role will be to identify user expectations (internal/external) and the benefits the product will deliver, in collaboration with the team and stakeholders.

You will drive product development and its integration into business operations (Support, Subsidiaries, etc.), ensure the quality of deliverables, and communicate progress (achievements, successes, challenges).

What will be your missions?
  • Define user profiles/personas,
  • Identify and specify the expected value of the product,
  • Design and facilitate collaborative workshops (Event Storming, Design Thinking, Product Vision, etc.),
  • Write requirements,
  • Define a product roadmap and organize releases to guide the team toward continuous and shared value,
  • Prioritize developments based on business value, implementation effort, risk, and required technical knowledge,
  • Write specifications in the form of User Stories,
  • Engage with clients to gather feedback and improve the product,
  • Share and clarify the product vision with the team,
  • Define product acceptance criteria,
  • Organize and conduct verification/validation campaigns.
Who are you?
  • Solid experience in product management (Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role), enabling you to drive the roadmap and priorities with impact.
  • Proficient in Agile practices and familiar with JIRA to track and organize team work.
  • User-centered approach, able to challenge proposed solutions to maximize delivered value rather than just deliver features.
  • Strategic vision with a pragmatic mindset: focused on business impact, user experience, and operational feasibility.
  • Ability to arbitrate between conflicting demands (stakeholders, clients, team) and discern when to say no.
  • Use of data to guide decisions and measure the impact of choices.
  • Sensitivity to design and user experience, working closely with design and development teams.
  • Regular use of prototyping and design tools (Figma, Balsamiq, etc.) to formalize ideas and facilitate team communication.
  • Organized, rigorous, and methodical, yet adaptable and responsive in a dynamic environment.
  • Energetic, proactive, curious, and genuinely committed to customer satisfaction.
  • Fluent in English, able to work in an international context.
Bonus

You have basic knowledge of bioinformatics and have already worked with genomic sequencing data.

You’ll have the opportunity to join the journey of an innovative B2B SaaS/Cloud solution, born at the intersection of Big Data and bacterial genomics. Already in production and delivering concrete use cases, the solution is preparing for its next chapter: expanding its scope, deepening its value, and looking toward the future.

No worries—we’ll support you in diving into this exciting world!

bioMérieux welcomes applications from all individuals, regardless of race, national origin, gender, age, physical characteristics, social origin, disability, union membership, religion, family status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or any unlawful criterion under applicable law.
