With strong experience in a consultancy or contractor organisation you will have knowledge and demonstrate hands on experience of standard forms of contract claims management dispute avoidance and/or dispute resolution within the natural resources energy and/or infrastructure environment sectors.

The Contract Manager will represent the Clients commercial interests while overseeing procurement activities by third party partner organizations.

Responsibilities (nonexhaustive list):

  • Contract management: supplier followup contract closeout and ensure contract compliance.
  • Ensure that business goals are accomplished by contract implementation.
  • Provide regular reporting on the status of contracts for management.
  • Stakeholder management: the ability to create and maintain strong relationships with your different client interfaces.
  • Prepare or review requests for proposals for distribution to vendors.
  • Coordinate with Project Controls and the finance department to ensure correct billing and accounts payable. Verify receipt of goods and services and help verify quality performance by vendors.
  • Identify potential improvements to contracting and procurement strategies policies bidding and vendor selection to achieve the best value for the Client.
  • Be an active member of the procurement organization and contract team.

Qualifications:

  • 10 years relevant experience in a similar role in the Natural Resources sector.
  • Possibility to live and work in the Netherlands.
  • Commercial project experience highly preferred.
  • Formal Project Management methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to present to senior management to gain approvals.
  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and quickly changing environment.
