Job summary

Pasqal is seeking a Product Manager - Quantum Hardware to drive the productization of a key part of our QPU generations. You will own the product roadmap, collaborate with hardware, software, production, marketing, and sales teams, and represent the voice of scientists and users in product decisions.

You will oversee the full product lifecycle from design to production and support, working with a team of product managers and reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Quantum Hardware.

Qualifications

• MSc in Physics, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as hardware product manager.
• 5+ years of experience with complex hardware systems.
• Excellent communication skills.

We are looking for a Product Manager - Quantum Hardware, to lead the productization of a key part of our market-leading quantum computing hardware.

Job description

As Product Manager, Quantum Hardware, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our quantum computing hardware. In close collaboration with the architecture team, you will be responsible for leading the productization of part of our QPU generations. You will use your excellent communication skills to reach alignment on the product roadmap with stakeholders from the hardware, software, production, marketing, and sales departments.

You will bring the voice of technical and scientific users into product decisions, maintain a prioritized feature backlog and balance customer value, technical constraints and delivery timelines. You will make prioritization and scope decisions within your product perimeter and work jointly with the Senior Product Manager on decisions affecting milestones, value propositions or other generations. You will oversee the entire product life cycle from design and development to production, delivery and support.

You will be part of a dynamic team of product managers and report to the Senior Product Manager, Quantum Hardware. Individual feature development projects are led by project managers.

Your missions and responsibilities will include:

• Lead the hardware product vision and roadmap including upgrades for the QPU generations within your scope both for on-prem and cloud deployments, in coordination with stakeholders from product, sales, marketing, hardware, software, and production.

• Perform user research and represent the user perspective within the hardware team.

• Define product features and manage the lifecycle of assigned QPU generations, including upgrades, maintenance and end of life.

• Own and prioritize the feature backlog, gather and refine requirements with stakeholders.

• Collect and synthesize competitive intelligence to support portfolio discussions.

• Implement and promote the product lifecycle process, contribute to evangelization of a product mindset throughout the company.

• Ensure proper product and user documentation.

• Align hardware roadmap with software and commercial roadmaps.

About you

• MSc in Physics, Engineering or related field.

• 3+ years of experience as hardware product manager.

• 5+ years of experience with complex hardware systems combining advanced technologies like optics, electronics, mechanics and/or UHV.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Fully professional proficiency in English.

• Team player, enthusiastic, fast-learner, organized, pro-active and creative.

• Capacity to achieve goals through influence rather than power.

Nice to have

• Experience in quantum computing is a big plus; strong appetite to learn is required.

• French language skills.

• Experience in international and multicultural environments.

• Comfortable working across time zones with international teams.
