Pasqal in France is seeking a Product Manager for Quantum Applications to steer the direction of optimization software that turns complex problems into measurable quantum solutions. You will sit at the interface between Customers, our Commercial organization, and the Applications’ development teams, translating real problems into product requirements and driving ROI-focused delivery across global markets.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in a relevant field (OR, math, CS, physics, or quantum computing) required.
• 5+ years in product management or applied research with real customer impact.
• Strong grounding in optimization and how it maps to industry use cases.
• Operational knowledge of quantum computing capabilities or rapid learner.
• Data and analytics fluency with self-service metrics.
• Proven discovery craft: prototypes, experiments, data-driven decisions.
• Excellent written communication; regular writing.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for Pasqal's optimization applications, prioritizing use cases where neutral-atom technology can move the needle.
• Run real discovery with customers and partners: talk to users frequently, map workflows, and test ideas; prototype to de-risk value, usability, feasibility, and viability.
• Translate concrete optimization problems (routing, scheduling, portfolio, network, energy, logistics, etc.) into well-scoped application requirements for the Algo and Solutions teams.
• Own viability: define how Pasqal quantifies value delivered by an optimization use case and ROI for customers; define the right commercial model.
• Partner with Solutions, Algorithms, Software, and Cloud teams to integrate optimization applications into end-to-end customer workflows and the Pasqal Quantum Software Stack.
• Work with Business Development, Sales, and Marketing to expand the customer base and turn engagements into references and assets.
• Own the data: define metrics to tell you whether an application is working and decide what to double down on, rebuild, or kill.
• Maintain a rigorous technology and competitive watch on quantum and classical optimization and feed it back into strategy.
• Contribute to Pasqal's IP portfolio in quantum applications where relevant.

Job description

As Product Manager for Quantum Applications, you own the product direction for how Pasqal turns hard optimization problems into quantum applications that deliver measurable value to customers. You sit at the interface between Customers, our Commercial organization, and the Applications’ development teams, working backwards from real customer problems to define what we build, for whom, and when.

You are the person who makes sure optimization use cases address genuine customer problems, provide quantified value and a credible path from proof of concept to production.

Your missions and responsibilities will include:

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for Pasqal's optimization applications, prioritizing use cases where our neutral-atom technology can genuinely move the needle over classical and other quantum approaches.
• Run real discovery with customers and partners: talk to users frequently, map their workflows, and test more ideas than you build. Prototype and experiment to de-risk value, usability, feasibility, and viability before committing engineering effort.
• Translate concrete optimization problems (routing, scheduling, portfolio, network, energy, logistics, etc.) into well-scoped application requirements the Algo and Solutions teams can deliver against.
• Own viability: define how Pasqal quantifies the value delivered by an optimization use case, how we articulate ROI to the customer, and what commercial model fits.
• Partner closely with the Solutions, Algorithms, Software, and Cloud teams to integrate optimization applications into end-to-end customer workflows and the Pasqal Quantum Software Stack.
• Work with Business Development, Sales, and Marketing to expand the customer base and turn successful engagements into repeatable references and go-to-market assets.
• Own the data: define the metrics that tell you whether an application is working, and use them to decide what to double down on, rebuild, or kill.
• Maintain a rigorous technology and competitive watch on quantum and classical optimization, and feed it back into strategy.
• Contribute to Pasqal's IP portfolio in quantum applications where relevant.

About you

• MSc or PhD in a relevant field: Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or Quantum Computing / Information.

• 5+ years in product management, solutions, or applied research, with direct ownership of products or applications that solved real customer problems, not just features shipped.

• Strong grounding in optimization: you understand combinatorial and continuous optimization problems and how they map to real industry use cases.

• Operational knowledge of quantum computing capabilities, or a demonstrated ability to become expert quickly — curiosity over dogma.

• Data and analytics fluency: you own your data and metrics yourself rather than receiving them pre-chewed.

• Evidence of real discovery craft: prototypes built, experiments run, ideas killed by data. You can show artefacts, not just frameworks.

• Excellent written communication — clear writing reflects clear thinking, and you will write constantly.

• Fluent in English.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering quantum, HPC, AI/ML, or advanced-computing applications to enterprise customers.

• Domain expertise in an optimization-heavy vertical (finance, energy, logistics, mobility, manufacturing).

• Experience with consultative, low-TRL customer engagements.

• French language skills.

• Experience in international and multicultural environments.
