Client Overview :

A highly innovative and fast-growing business, based on groundbreaking, patented technology, in the development of 100% biobased and fully biodegradable materials.

As a committed player in the ecological transition, the business is an industrial SME, structured around three strategic product platforms : film, compounds and paper.

Role Overview :

As a Product Manager, you will take responsibility for one of these platforms and build a strategic vision for the company’s products, as defined by management, aligned with external customer needs and expected profitability. You will be the voice of the customer internally, ensuring alignment between market needs and development priorities.

Responsibilities :

Definition and management of the strategy for your product platform, based on customer, regulatory, market and technology monitoring :

  • Build an offering that meets customer needs (product design or application developments)
  • Define pricing and distribution strategy
  • Plan and manage product launches
  • Define and manage time-to-market (milestones / deadlines)
  • Define mid and long-term R&D projects

Coordination of cross-functional projects related to your product platform :

  • Prioritise, support and coordinate projects through to commercialisation : ensure smooth communication, gather requirements, manage sampling, provide technical support, pilot and industrial PoCs, industrialisation
  • Define and monitor the product development timeline, providing technical and market support to the Business team, and market insight to the R&D and industrial teams
  • Monitor the budget for platform-related activities and contribute to the preparation of innovation funding applications
  • The position involves regular travel within Europe and internationally.
  • You hold an engineering degree or a Master's (Bac+5) with a specialisation in materials chemistry, plastics processing, or paper and / or in marketing or innovation management
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, gained in an international industrial environment—ideally in the paper or plastics industry
  • You have strong knowledge of plastics processing techniques and polymer materials and / or the packaging industry, paper sector, and converters
  • You are recognised for your ability to rally and inspire teams around a clear product vision and are an effective communicator, creating an environment that fosters engagement
  • Team spirit, positivity, kindness, and agility of mind
  • As the role involves international collaboration, you are fluent in English
  • You have a strong interest in innovation and technical challenges and are sensitive to environmental issues
