Job Description:

The Instruments Sales Representative provides sales expertise and account management, leading all selling and commercial activities within existing markets for the Product Inspection Product Line within the Production Process and Analytics (PPA) business unit of the Chemical Analysis Division (CAD). The representative reports to the EMEA Sales Manager for Product Inspection. This role involves maintaining effective customer relations, developing growth opportunities within existing customer bases, and ensuring market penetration and profitability while meeting sales and profit targets.

What will you do?

  • Achieve forecasted sales goals for the territory, supporting external partners and/or selling directly to customers.
  • Support and assist customers, OEMs, engineering firms, and partners to improve long-term business results and relationships.
  • Meet and exceed customer requirements, including communication, responsiveness, cost awareness, and scheduling sensitivities.
  • Maintain and develop an extensive knowledge of products and their applications.
  • Select, train, and motivate Independent Sales Organizations (ISO), agents, and channel partners to optimize sales achievement.
  • Coordinate sales activities with other territories, product lines, and the inside sales team.

Attend local and international trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions.

  • Provide forecasts, weekly reports, marketing intelligence, and information to supervisors and other personnel as needed. Regularly update notes and customer information in CRM systems.
  • Be available to travel overnight approximately 50% of the time.
  • Report sales data using CRM (SFDC) and other tools efficiently.

Education

  • Solid technical background; Bachelor’s degree in technical sciences preferred.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in industrial (packaging) equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Languages: Business fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SFDC, and internet applications.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Proven success in a matrix environment with a focus on commercial excellence.
