A Day in the Life

As a Product Development Manager within L’Oréal Operations, you will be a key player in bringing innovative products to market. You will work closely with an international team, collaborating with various departments including Marketing, R&I, Packaging, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless product launches. You'll be involved in every stage of the product lifecycle, from initial concept to final delivery, making a tangible impact on the success of our iconic brands. This role offers significant growth opportunities, allowing you to develop your project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills within a dynamic and international environment.

  1. Launch Planning & Execution: You will guide brands in developing comprehensive launch plans, ensuring profitability, timely market entry (TTM), adherence to quality standards, and alignment with L'Oréal's sustainability goals (L4TF).
  2. Market Analysis & Strategy: You will develop a deep understanding of market trends and competitive landscapes through a category management approach, informing product development strategies.
  3. Innovation & Collaboration: You will champion innovation by collaborating with brands and the Operations Innovation department to transform product development projects.
  4. Project Management & Delivery: You will manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and business acumen. They are a highly effective communicator and collaborator, able to navigate complex projects and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

  1. Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
  4. Color & Finishings Processes: In-depth understanding of color formulation, application techniques, and finishing processes.
  5. Product Profitability Management: Ability to analyze product costs, pricing strategies, and market dynamics to maximize profitability.
