Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Development of new products from existing portfolio or scratch
- Follow Transversal certification (Factory Mutual, CE marking, etc.)
- Address sustainability issues linked to the product, including Environmental Product Declaration and Construction Product Regulation compliance
- Lead mechanical design and development of envelopes for polyurethane/polyisocyanurate panels
- Define new polyurethane/polyisocyanurate panels according to requirements and optimize CE marking efforts across plants
- Support IT Technicians/engineers in designing/updating software within the Product Innovation and Development Department
- Ensure compliance with European regulations, standardization, and industry associations, and communicate relevant information to local Technical Product Departments
- Perform Life Cycle Analysis calculations and publish Environmental Product Declarations for ArcelorMittal Construction innovative products
- Support local teams in developing their Life Cycle Analysis skills for Environmental Product Declarations
- Assist in implementing new Construction Product Regulations related to product sustainability issues
Profile
- Mechanical or Civil Engineer
- 6 to 15 years of experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Fluency in French and English; German is a plus
- Experience in construction materials is advantageous
- Scientific mindset, strong professional networking skills
- Additional key competencies: conceptualization, rigor, autonomy, curiosity, technical documentation, testing, LCA calculations
- Training requirements: One-click LCA software, Environmental Product Declaration/Life Cycle Analysis, mechanical performance of panels
Team
- Collaborate with various teams within AM Construction, including technicians, sales, CTO, COO, CMO, and supply chain
- Report directly to the Product Development Director
- Location options: Reims, Haironville, or Onnaing
- Business trips within Europe (~15%) may be required, subject to discussion
