Your role

As a member of the Optical Technologies team within Group Lens Innovation, you will manage studies and industrialization projects for the production of glass molds and non-spherical metal inserts. The processes involved cover a wide range of stages, such as precision machining with diamond tools, polishing, laser engraving, calculation of manufacturing data, and control and analysis of the optical characteristics obtained.

Main responsibilities:

• Coordinate and carry out studies to understand and develop new technologies.
• Collect and analyze data from production sites.
• Organize on-site pilots, then transfer knowledge to local production and support/maintenance teams.

You will also interact with other departments, lens and mold manufacturing plants, and equipment manufacturers.

Main requirements:

• We are looking for an Engineer, with a major in Mechanics and/or Materials and a strong experience in machining and/or polishing on CNC machines. Knowledge of calculations, algorithms and data analysis is a plus.
• Ability to cooperate.
• Autonomy, initiative and technical curiosity.
• Good analytical and summarizing skills.

A good command of English is expected for this position, which requires frequent contact with non-French speakers.

Travel to production sites is possible, as required.
