Our Strategy and Planning team, part of our broader Sales Operations team, aims to support our Sales organization in accelerating growth. This team acts as business partners to our Senior Sales Leaders, handling strategic initiatives such as analyzing business rules, piloting new sales roles, optimizing sales processes, and deriving insights from sales data.

We seek a senior analyst to develop this function supporting our Sales Leadership Teams. You will learn about each major MongoDB Sales Business, build relationships with senior leadership, and drive initiatives to unlock sales revenue. The ideal candidate understands sales team dynamics, has a passion for data analysis, and can craft narratives to support sales growth.

This role can be based in London, Barcelona, Paris, Amsterdam, or Dublin.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Sales Strategy & Planning Analyst, you will:

  • Drive the analytical rhythm of our business, including quarterly reviews and deep dives
  • Partner with Senior Sales leadership for market and segment analyses
  • Become an expert in business and compensation rules within our sales operations
  • Design and pilot new programs to evaluate sales roles and compensation plans
  • Participate in quarterly and annual sales business planning
  • Collaborate across business units for productivity and scenario analyses

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Strategy, Consulting, Sales Operations, or Analytics
  • Strong communication skills to simplify complex concepts
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction
  • Expertise in data manipulation and analysis using spreadsheets
  • Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Google Data Studio, or Looker
  • Understanding of databases, relational vs. non-relational
  • Familiarity with navigating Salesforce
