Entity : CPS - SSP (Search, Shopping and Pricing)

The Search, Shopping and Pricing (SSP) division develops products designed to serve multiple customer segments: providers (airlines, alliances, and railway operators), distributors (travel agencies, online travel agencies, tour operators) and new intermediaries (meta-search). The market is innovative, with a strong push from the online players (Google/ITA, Kayak, Expedia …), competitors (Vayant, Sabre) and significant business model evolutions (NDC). The platform supporting these processes is of massive scale in infrastructure (100,000 cores computing transactions), in operations (25,000 transactions per second), in data (350 million fares, petabyte-scale historical datasets), and in software (23 million lines of code).

To serve the main SSP goal of returning the best travel solution, the Pricing Integration & Orchestration (PIO) department interacts with Reservation, Ticketing, and Pricing Engine entities. PIO's role is to recompute prices at shopping time if needed, ensuring customers pay the correct price before payment.

PIO specializes in flight ticket and additional services pricing, including aftersales flows (Amadeus Ticket Changer, Service Changer…).

Through its contribution to several SAFe Agile Release Trains, the department influences the future of Airline IT and Travel Distribution via projects like Offer Management System, Nevio, and Travel Platform, among others. More than a third of team members hold Scrum Master or Product Owner roles.

Objectives

Act as a technical and functional lead, defining and promoting best QA practices within the PIO organization. Engage in technical discussions with development teams to understand designs and outputs. Lead the implementation of test strategies with a strong IT and business understanding.

Main Responsibilities
Common Accountabilities
  • Ensure high team performance with proficient technical knowledge; recognized as a leader and capable of training others.
  • Understand how business drivers impact QA activities; assess complex problems, improve processes, and communicate effectively.
  • Work autonomously, lead projects, and contribute to resource and budget planning.
Technical Excellence
  • Master QA methodologies and tools, analyze and execute test standards for complex solutions, document and analyze defects, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Promote test automation solutions and environments.
Functional Excellence
  • Possess strong product domain knowledge, lead customer debug sessions, and understand customer needs.
Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in forums, lead discussions on QA evolution, maintain high-quality standards, contribute to patents and events, propose KPIs, and evaluate testing tools.
  • Reduce environmental impact of QA activities.
Knowledge Sharing & Relations
  • Mentor less experienced staff, support onboarding, consult on automation and QA processes, and engage in community events.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience with Test Management Tools (e.g., Octane), testing tools (e.g., Robot Framework, Postman), programming languages like Python, and ISTQB certification.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, SAFE, Scrum, Kanban), testing techniques, and fluent English skills.
