We are seeking a Principal Process Engineer to join our Engineering team in Belgium & France, reporting to the Head of Process and HSE Design.

About The Role

The role involves delivering high-quality Process and HSE engineering design and support across proposals, studies, project execution, and technology development, focusing on green hydrogen and Power-to-X technologies. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, schedules, and budgets, with an emphasis on quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Support and Project Execution
    • Provide technical support and advice for project execution and product development.
    • Supervise process design during projects, especially FEED and EPC phases, including approving design criteria and methodologies.
    • Collect feedback for continuous improvement.
  2. Sales and Product Development
    • Support sales strategies by developing innovative solutions aligned with customer needs.
    • Ensure process engineering activities align with product development goals.
  3. Process and Safety Engineering
    • Optimize engineering analysis and solutions produced by process teams.
    • Ensure quality, schedule, and cost adherence for process and safety activities, including development of P&IDs, functional descriptions, and safety reports.
    • Coordinate HAZOP/LOPA studies, residual risk lists, safety concepts, fire water design, effluent lists, and RAM studies.
    • Develop safety concepts, fire and gas systems, and escape planning, including long-term risk quantification.
  4. Client and Stakeholder Engagement
    • Analyze client specifications and perform gap analyses.
    • Participate in design reviews and liaise with other disciplines, clients, and licensors.
  5. Quality Assurance and Approvals
    • Review and approve process deliverables, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, and operating manuals.
  6. Training and Development
    • Mentor and train process engineers, contributing to continuous improvement.
  7. Knowledge Management and Innovation
    • Participate in project close-outs, develop a process knowledge database, and stay updated on technological and normative developments.
  8. Industry Representation
    • Promote the company’s technological image through liaising, publishing papers, and industry participation.
About You

If you meet these requirements, consider this opportunity for skill development:

  • Fluent in English
