Sezzle is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, operate and scale the platform powering our services. You will tackle the hardest infrastructure problems, drive reliability, and own architecture end-to-end in a fast-growing fintech environment.

With 12+ years of experience, you’ll lead AI-assisted tooling, manage AWS/Kubernetes environments, and optimize Aurora RDS performance and cost.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
12+ years of experience across infrastructure, platform, SRE, or related engineering disciplines.
Deep expertise with AWS: compute, IAM, multi-account architectures and networking.
Deep expertise with Kubernetes in production; EKS experience is preferred.
Deep expertise with relational databases at scale (RDS/Aurora MySQL and/or Postgres).

Responsabilités

Own the technical architecture and evolution of core infrastructure.
Engineer for scale and performance across compute, networking, Kubernetes, and databases.
Design and build AWS infrastructure with resilient architectures.
Build and operate the Kubernetes platform with automation and reliability.
Scale and optimize Aurora RDS for MySQL and Postgres, including failover and migrations.
Participate in on-call rotations and drive incident recovery.
Build observability and AI-assisted tooling to reduce toil.
