NES Fircroft is seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join its Paris team. You will lead electrical design for complex data centre and mission-critical projects, providing technical direction and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in France and Europe.

The role requires senior-level expertise, client liaison, design reviews, and the ability to develop strategies, specifications and documentation while ensuring compliance with French and international standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in electrical building services engineering.
• Experience operating at Senior, Associate or Principal Engineer level.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and relevant standards.
• Experience working on large-scale, complex projects.
• The ability to lead technical delivery and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience engaging directly with clients and contractors.
• Professional fluency in English; French language skills would be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Lead the electrical engineering design of complex projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and wider project teams.
• Develop electrical strategies, specifications, calculations and design documentation.
• Review and coordinate electrical designs produced by internal teams and external consultants.
• Work closely with mechanical, CSA, architectural and specialist engineering disciplines.
• Liaise directly with clients and key project stakeholders.
• Attend design reviews, technical meetings and project workshops.
• Support the development of project programmes, budgets and technical deliverables.
• Provide technical input throughout construction and commissioning phases.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant French and international standards, regulations and client requirements.
• Support the development of junior and intermediate engineers.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and the growth of the Paris office.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary engineering team in Paris.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineering professional to take a senior technical role within a business delivering complex, high-value projects across the data centre and mission-critical sectors.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of technically challenging projects, working closely with clients, design teams, contractors and other engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering design of complex projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and wider project teams.
• Develop electrical strategies, specifications, calculations and design documentation.

Project Experience

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering complex electrical engineering projects, ideally within one or more of the following environments:

• Infrastructure
• Other technically complex MEP environments

Experience working on hyperscale, colocation or AI-focused data centre projects would be particularly valuable.
