Position Overview :

The DCS Cloud Service includes a wide array of components, including web services, application servers, and databases, securely hosted in the AWS public cloud and compliant with PCI DSS. The Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring uptime, enhancing security, designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and application automation, and improving deployment strategies.

Responsibilities :

1. Become a lead subject matter expert on the DCS cloud solution architecture, security, reliability, performance, scalability, and troubleshooting.
2. Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines to facilitate automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of DCS applications and infrastructure.
3. Architect and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure in AWS utilizing infrastructure as code (IaC).
4. Develop and maintain provisioning, configuration management, and orchestration solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.
5. Ensure DCS platform compliance with PCI DSS and other relevant certifications; collaborate with Security teams to maintain and enhance security posture.
6. Work with development and QA teams to integrate DevOps practices supporting DCS operations.
7. Evaluate, recommend, design, and implement new AWS services to improve the DCS platform.
8. Contribute to the design and deployment of DCS service initiatives.
9. Maintain ultimate responsibility for DCS application uptime, reliability, maintenance, and upgrades.
10. Build and enhance system monitoring and alerting, contributing to proactive service operations.
11. Perform product evaluations, make recommendations, and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability.
12. Manage activities with integrity, adhering to organizational policies and practices.
13. Provide escalation assistance to resolve technology stack issues.
14. Perform incident analysis, problem resolution, and data analysis to ensure service quality and scalability.
15. Collaborate with Networking CoE team on network security measures.
16. Coach and mentor junior engineering staff.
17. Scope epics, user stories, and support weekly sprint planning.
18. Support application issues, participate in 24x7 on-call rotation, and off-hours maintenance.
19. Perform other duties and projects as required.

Basic Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience in IT deployments.
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automation, deployment strategies.
• Experience with enterprise microservices applications, deployment, operation, and maintenance in distributed environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, containers, DevOps tools (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.), databases, networks, security.
• Ability to handle requests, participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, and off-hours maintenance.

Work Location :

This hybrid role requires reporting to our Paris office three days a week. Entrust has a distributed workforce.
