The Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine invites applications for the position of Principal Cello. This role sits in a renowned orchestra contributing to opera and ballet productions as well as a broad symphonic season at the Auditorium de Bordeaux.

Rehearsals with a pianist are possible on November 26, 2026 at Salle Sauguet; audition on November 27, 2026 at the Auditorium de Bordeaux. The three-round audition will include orchestral excerpts and concertos, with interviews to assess ensemble

Qualifications

• Auditions consist of three rounds with eliminations.
• Rehearsals with a pianist are available on November 26, 2026.
• Accompaniment will be provided, but candidates may bring their own pianist if they prefer.
