Orchestre de Paris, established in 1967 and part of the Philharmonie de Paris since 2019, is looking to recruit a Principal Viola. The orchestra performs over a hundred concerts each season both in France and internationally. The successful candidate will join a team of 115 permanent musicians and contribute to the orchestra's commitment to symphonic repertoire and contemporary creation.Candidates will audition on December 11, 2026, and all candidates will perform the same program. The first round will be conducted behind a screen, and candidates will be notified of their audition details via email one week prior to the event.The gross monthly salary for this position is €4,614.18, effective from January 1, 2025. Candidates are responsible for their own accommodation and travel expenses, as well as rehearsal costs with the competition pianist. The audition will include various orchestral excerpts and chamber music pieces, showcasing the candidate's skills and artistry.
