Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to be a globally recognized industry leader in the A&D vertical to map customers’ product development processes, solve customers’ real-world problems, deploy Ansys software in their product development and operations workflows, and grow Ansys’ business. As the industry ACE leader, you will be an integral team member of the A&D COE collaborating and partnering with Industry CTO, Sales leadership, global TAM director, GTM strategy, marketing, and ACE to support Ansys’ verticalization strategy. You will also be a conduit for capturing regional priorities and developing a prioritization strategy to influence the technology roadmap to address key technology trends. You will work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment, with multi-disciplinary teams, leveraging your leadership skills to deliver business impact.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Ansys’ verticalization Go-to-Market strategy in collaboration with Marketing and Sales Operations, aligned with the Global TAM and CTO teams
• Work with TAMs, CTO office, GTM office, and ACE Subject Matter Experts to map capabilities to industry initiatives and whitespace
• Identify, scope, capture requirements, and create best practices for vertical application focus areas
• Build a global network of SMEs to drive content collation for the Ansys narrative
• Gather feedback from ACE and TAM, analyze gaps, articulate technology roadmaps, prioritize features, and recommend new solutions to product teams
• Drive market adoption of vertical applications through sales enablement and technical content creation
• Engage in sales opportunity lifecycle activities to promote software sales and account expansion
• Partner with Regional Sales Directors for opportunity review, forecasting, pipeline building, and resource planning
• Collaborate with product teams to translate customer needs into new features, guide product roadmaps, and test new releases on industrial problems
• Promote and practice the One Ansys culture

Minimum Education/Certification and Experience

• BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related fields
• BS+12, MS+10, PhD+7 years of professional experience in engineering software environment
• Experience working with A&D community for minimum years specified above
• Proficiency with Ansys or similar CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software
• Subject matter expertise in relevant disciplines
• Understanding of engineering practices and simulation deployment in workflows
• Proven track record of customer success and revenue impact
• Leadership, mentoring, and project management skills
• Excellent communication skills in English, ability to manage multiple complex projects, and travel up to 15% domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• BS+16, MS+14, PhD+11 years in engineering software environment
• Experience with A&D community for specified years above
• 6+ years in application engineering, customer support, or consulting roles
• Ability to interact with senior management and C-level executives
• Negotiation skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects across regions
• Experience fostering global collaboration and traveling up to 25%
