Axens in Rueil-Malmaison (France) is seeking a Pressure Vessel Specialist (F/M) to act as technical authority for pressure vessels across projects, from design through installation, reporting to the Equipment Mechanical Group Manager.

You will advise process engineers, review calculations per ASME VIII and other codes, supervise subcontractors, inspect at manufacturers, and drive continuous improvement with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Approx. 15 years in pressure vessel design and calculation within Oil & Gas.
• Strong expertise in international codes and standards, especially ASME.
• Experience with PV Elite or equivalent design software.
• Ability to work in a project-driven, multi-disciplinary environment.

Responsabilidades

• Advise on pressure vessel designs for clients, including supports, end types, transitions, and interfaces with internals.
• Assess feasibility of reusing pressure vessels in revamps.
• Perform and validate design calculations per codes (ASME VIII Div. 1 & 2, EN 13445, PD5500, etc.).
• Prepare equipment datasheets and technical requisitions for vessels and internals.
• Provide technical support to design teams, purchasers, and managers during client meetings.
• Review and approve calculations, GA drawings, and detailed drawings; coordinate with heat transfer, piping, instrumentation, structural teams.
• Supervise subcontracted design studies from bid to final validation; conduct inspections at manufacturers.”,
