A leading French research institution in Orsay seeks a qualified individual for imaging equipment management and quality control. Ideal candidates should have a Master's or PhD in relevant fields, 2-5 years of experience, and strong knowledge of PET imaging. Responsibilities include managing imaging operations and overseeing radiation safety protocols. Qualifications

  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) to PhD level in Physics, Medical Physics, Biology, or Imaging.
  • Open to hospital staff such as radiology technologists, medical physics assistants.
  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience.
  • Certification: Level I Animal Experimentation (Designer).
  • Strong knowledge of PET imaging highly appreciated.

Responsabilités

  • Manage imaging equipment, quality control, and usage.
  • Oversee radiation protection, handle activities in hot zones.
  • Conduct imaging acquisitions (microPET/microCT).
  • Organize transport of unsealed radioactive sources.
  • Implement quality controls for imaging systems.
  • Develop technological enhancements for imaging systems.
  • Analyze measurement results and produce reports.
  • Manage animals involved in projects: monitoring, transfers, anesthesia.

Acquisition and interpretation of CT and PET images
Image analysis
Management of radioactive tracers
Proficiency in office IT tools
Experience with small animals (rats, mice): handling, anesthesia, injection
Good command of English

Description du poste

Responsibilities
  • Participate in management of imaging equipment on platform, including quality control and usage.
  • Participate in management of radiation protection for sealed and unsealed sources, handling activities in hot zones and use of sealed sources.
  • Conduct imaging acquisitions (microPET/microCT).
  • Monitor radiation protection.
  • Organize orders and transport of unsealed radioactive sources.
  • Assist in implementation and execution of quality controls for imaging systems on platform.
  • Participate in imaging acquisitions and/or protocol setup for multimodal imaging.
  • Develop technological enhancements for imaging systems' usage.
  • Analyze and present measurement results to produce experiment reports and technical notes.
  • Develop consulting and training activities for users and scientific partners.
  • Stay updated on technical advances and implement them within platform.
  • Oversee maintenance, operational monitoring, training, and management of platform equipment.
  • Manage animals (including rodents) involved in projects: monitoring (cage changes, socialization, weight tracking), animal transfers, anesthesia, and setup on imaging devices.
Profile
  • Master’s degree (Bac+5) to PhD level (Bac+8) in Physics, Medical Physics, Biology, or Imaging.
  • Open to hospital staff such as radiology technologists, medical physics assistants.
  • Expected professional experience: 2 to 5 years.
  • Expected certifications: Level I Animal Experimentation (Designer).
  • Strong knowledge of PET imaging highly appreciated.
Skills and Required Qualities
