Pinnacle Animal Hospital is a full-service companion animal hospital serving Asheville, Arden, Fletcher, and the surrounding areas.

Founded in 2012 with the tagline 'Compassionate Care for Pets and Their People', our hospital was designed to be more than just another 'regular' animal hospital. We have proudly provided industry-leading care to dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, reptiles, and other furry/scaly creatures for over a decade.

More about the Role:

Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the Practice Manager manages all essential business functions in the veterinary practice and supports the practice teams. The Practice Manager works in partnership with the Managing Doctor (MDVM) to ensure successful practice operations, high client satisfaction, and effective team management. Responsibilities include ensuring profitability, business growth, and practice legacy protection, with focus areas in Practice Operations, HR, Marketing, Strategic Planning, and IT Management. The Practice Manager must be a strong people leader, possess business acumen, and enjoy leading and developing teams to deliver high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Managing financial performance and driving revenue growth.
  • Overseeing practice expenses, inventory, and pricing strategies.
  • Participating in budget planning and performance analysis.
  • Ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and safety standards.
  • Managing staff scheduling, payroll, accounts payable, and vendor relationships.
  • Maintaining medical records and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Engaging with clients to improve satisfaction and resolve issues.
  • Collaborating on marketing strategies and community engagement.
  • Staff recruitment, development, and performance management.
  • Partnering with HR and leadership to manage employee relations and training.
  • Supporting practice operations directly when needed, including client interaction or technical support.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Full-time, on-site availability, including weekends as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds; with assistance for heavier loads.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and PPE use.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and office technology.
  • Basic math skills, including medication dosage calculations.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.

Pay Range: USD $55,000.00 - USD $60,000.00 annually.
