Job summary

EPEX SPOT is seeking a Market Operations professional to monitor daily auctions, support members, and coordinate with IT, Membership, and Sales teams. You will help ensure reliability and accuracy of data while contributing to European market processes and new system releases.

Ideal candidates have a year of operational experience, strong English skills, and a proactive mindset to improve processes and documentation in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, computer science, or related energy field.
• At least 1 year in an operational team.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
• Ability to monitor markets, respond to client queries, and coordinate with partners.
• Experience in incident management and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Run Markets: monitor auction markets, ensure daily trade execution, publish price references for 20+ daily auctions.
• Coordinate with operational partners including IT, Membership, Sales/Communication.
• Support EPEX SPOT members, handle client queries and setups.
• Identify and resolve operational issues with accurate data and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in agile Scrum teams for system releases and new services.
• Develop internal documentation and improve daily processes.
