1000scholars in Paris invites a postdoctoral researcher to lead part of the ANR PROSPERA project, examining how autistic adults learn statistical regularities in their environment. The successful candidate will design, implement, and analyze data, write papers for international journals, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
The person recruited will be tasked with leading part of the ANR PROSPERA project aimed at better understanding how autistic adults learn the statistical regularities of their environment, a fundamental mechanism likely to explain key symptoms of autism. The candidate will conduct an EEG (neural frequency tagging) experiment in neurotypical and autistic adults to assess statistical learning in visual and auditory modalities, as well as a series of online behavioral experiments to test preference for predictability and cognitive flexibility. The EEG study will be replicated in autistic adults with limited cognitive abilities. The postdoctoral researcher may be required to co-supervise students
