Position Summary: The Marcolongo Lab at Villanova University is looking for post-doctoral students to contribute to our NIH-supported project examining biomimetic proteoglycans for molecular engineering of connective tissues, including cartilage and disc. We seek a creative innovator to work on new molecular/biomaterial chemistries to optimize connective tissue repair and regeneration. Our lab focuses on early and minimally invasive strategies to mitigate or reverse disease progression in connective tissues, with a history of basic and translational research and start-ups. Villanova is a Catholic university sponsored by the Augustinian Order, committed to diversity and inclusion.
The successful candidate will work with Dr. Michele Marcolongo on developing new molecular/biomaterial chemistries to enhance connective tissue repair. The position may start as early as Summer 2023.
