Job summary

CNRS – Institut Langevin in Paris invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to the development of a novel technology for functional imaging of the human retina at cellular resolution. You will work within the SCALE-ORG project to push toward a prototype suitable for clinical imaging validation.

The role involves experimental optics, interferometry and data analysis, with an emphasis on robust imaging under eye movements and translational biomedical applications.

Qualifications

• PhD in physics, optics, photonics or related field.
• Strong experience in experimental optics or optical imaging.
• Experience with interferometry, OCT, microscopy or coherent imaging.
• Experience in data analysis and scientific programming (Python, MATLAB).
• Ability to design, conduct and analyze experiments independently.
• Interest in biomedical imaging and translational optical instrumentation.
• Good communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Development, optimization, and characterization of an FFOCT imaging system for human optoretinography.
• Improvement of robustness of image acquisition and functional measurements, particularly eye movements and interferometric fluctuations.
• Development and validation of algorithms for extracting functional photoreceptor responses.
• Development of quantitative methods for extracting reproducible biomarkers.
• Contribution to the integration of hardware and software developments into a prototype for future clinical validation.
• Analysis of experimental results and contribution to dissemination and publication.
