Job summary

The Institute of Molecular Chemistry of Reims (ICMR) invites a highly qualified researcher for the ANR PEPR B-BEST EXTRAPEC project, focusing on chemo-enzymatic extraction and deconstruction of pectin-derived polysaccharides from sugar beet pulp.

The successful candidate will work across extraction optimization, structural and rheological characterization, and evaluation of anti-scaling properties in collaboration with industrial partners, within a state-of-the-art lab in Reims, France.

Qualifications

• PhD in macromolecular chemistry, polymer chemistry, materials science, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in reactive extrusion and polymer modification.
• Experience with polymer characterization techniques (NMR, GPC/SEC).

Responsibilities

• Lead pectin extraction optimization via reactive extrusion.
• Characterize products' structure and rheology.
• Evaluate anti-scaling properties with industrial partner.
