Offer Description

Optimization of the outdoor PV characterization setup for better adaptation to the behavior of perovskite-based solar cells and modules. Ensure the installation and monitoring of perovskite solar cells under outdoor conditions. Analyze the measurements.

Main tasks:
- Set up the instrumentation based on a µSMU: familiarization, calibration, precision estimation, and equipment operation.
- Optimize the measurement setup: development and optimization of tracking algorithms and operation of cells.
- Monitor, collect data, and analyze the performance of cells under test.
- Model the behavior of cells during tracking.
- Report to the members of the PEPR.
- Conduct bibliographic research.

Secondary tasks:
- Develop AI models internally within the team.

The project is part of the PEPR TASE (Advanced Technologies for Energy Systems) framework, specifically related to the MINOTAURE call for interest (Multimodal Approach: In situ, Operando, and ex situ Characterization, and Simulations for New Generations of Reliable Photovoltaic Cells).
The fabrication/preparation part will take place at the LPICM laboratory. The outdoor characterization will be carried out at the SIRTA observatory located at École Polytechnique. The samples will be provided by partner laboratories of the PEPR MINOTAURE.

- Have solid experience with halogenated hybrid perovskite-based solar cells: understanding the physical phenomena governing these cells, as well as the characterization methods for them.
- Master the fabrication of halogenated hybrid perovskite-based solar cells, particularly triple mesoscopic cells.
- Have knowledge of programming languages, especially Python.
