IPCMS in Strasbourg invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in circularly-polarized luminescence spectroscopy. The project focuses on enantiopure d-metal complexes with metallophilic interactions, involving synthesis, chiroptical and electrochemical characterization.

The successful candidate will design and synthesize photoactive ligands, prepare organometallic complexes under inert atmosphere, purify products, and characterize them using NMR, MS, UV-Vis, fluorescence, and CPL.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemical Sciences or Molecular Chemistry with a synthesis-oriented background and spectroscopy
• Independence to work in a multidisciplinary, international environment
• Excellent written and spoken English; French not essential
• Provide motivation letter, a detailed CV with marks, and contact details of reference(s)

Responsabilités

• Design of new photoactive ligands and complexes
• Synthesize organic heterocyclic ligands independently
• Synthesize organometallic complexes under inert atmosphere
• Purify products using chromatographic techniques (chromatography, HPLC, GC-MS)
• Characterize products using UV-Vis, steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence, and CPL
