Université Bourgogne invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher (R1) in the EMCAP team at ICMUB to develop porphyrin-based electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution. The project combines chemical synthesis, electrosynthesis, and electrocatalysis with advanced analytical techniques.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in molecular synthesis and electrochemistry (analytical electrochemistry, electrosynthesis, electrocatalysis).
Proficiency in spectroscopic techniques available at the lab (NMR, IR, UV–Vis).
Experience with electrocatalysis and electrochemical characterization is required.
Ability to write reports in English and contribute to publications.
Knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsabilités

Develop and optimize protocols for chemical synthesis and electrochemical functionalization of porphyrin macrocycles.
Synthesize porphyrin-based materials by electropolymerization.
Install and validate a new micro-GC instrument for analysis.
Determine key metrics (TOF, TON) and propose improvements.
Prepare progress reports and contribute to scientific publications and patents.
