The CNRS Institut Langevin in Paris invites applications for a First Stage Researcher (R1) to design, fabricate, and characterize nanostructures that enhance light-matter interactions and spontaneous emission processes. Working with a CNRS researcher and two doctoral students, you will join the Materials, Resonances, and Interfaces group in the 5th arrondissement.

The role covers nanofabrication, microscopy, spectroscopy, data analysis, and optical simulations, with opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

  • Experience in synthesis of nanostructures using chemical or physicochemical methods.
  • Experience in characterizing nanostructures using microscopy and spectroscopy.
  • Experience in simulating the optical properties of nanostructures.
  • Oral and written scientific communication in English.
  • Teamwork

Responsabilités

  • Design, fabrication, and characterization of nanostructures to enhance light-matter interactions.
  • Perform electromagnetic simulations and data analysis.
  • Project management, report writing, and article authorship.
  • Conference presentations.
  • Assisting supervision of interns and doctoral students.
