CEA invites applications for a Postdoctoral position focusing on modelling, CFD, and experimental development of an innovative absorption injector. The researcher will cover the full cycle from physical modelling to experimental demonstration, including 0D models, CFD, prototype fabrication, and test bench operation.

PhD in energy or mechanical engineering is required, with expertise in thermodynamics, multiphase flows, CFD, and experimental systems.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant engineering field (Energy, Mechanical, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Process Engineering) required.
• Strong background in CFD, multiphase flows, and experimental methods.
• Experience with ammonia–water absorption systems is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop simplified 0D thermodynamic and hydrodynamic models for injector design and sensitivity analysis.
• Perform CFD simulations to study flow, mass, momentum and energy transfer in the injector.
• Contribute to detailed design and manufacturing of injector prototypes.
• Operate an experimental test bench for thermo-hydraulic characterization.
• Conduct experiments and validate numerical models against data.
• Publish results and contribute to patent filings.
