Universite9 de Strasbourg invites applications for a Postdoctoral position in the BotaniChem project. Work will focus on characterising and leveraging the metabolic diversity of plant collections using mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, with strong emphasis on data analysis, annotation, and interpretation.

The successful candidate will collect and sample species, manage metadata, prepare extracts, and contribute to scientific dissemination within CNRS and partner teams.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of plant metabolism and chemo-diversity concepts.
• Proficiency in metabolomic approaches using mass spectrometry and data pipelines.
• Interest in plant diversity and science literacy promotion.
• Excellent written and oral communication in French and English.

Responsabilités

• Select and collect plant specimens from the Strasbourg Botanical Garden in collaboration with JBS teams.
• Ensure metadata traceability for each specimen (identification, collection conditions).
• Prepare samples (freeze-drying, grinding, extraction) and build a physical collection of plant material and extracts.
• Carry out metabolomic analyses with mass spectrometry in partnership with the teams and facility.
• Process, annotate and analyse metabolomic data using specialized pipelines.
• Contribute to interpretation of results and dissemination of findings.
